The innovative production of the Ohrdrufer SchlauchWeberei Eschbach GmbH

Production of the fire hose with internal rubber lining

The hose which consists of a woven textile jacket and an inside rubber lining is mostly adapted to fire brigades or to industries. It is tear-proof, rot-proof and low stretch. By the way first fire hoses have already been used under Alexander the Great in ancient Greece. With reference to the improvements made by the Dutch fire chief Jan van der Heyden fire hoses started to spread widely from 1672 onwards. Contemporary high-tech hoses distinguish themselves with a lot of attributes: they are highly flexible, rot-proof, maintenance-free, cold-resistant, they require little space and they are available in nearly every color.
