25 Years Ohrdrufer SchlauchWeberei Eschbach

From the foundation in 1993 to a leading European producer of fire hoses

In 1993 the Eschbach family founded the hose weaving company Ohrdrufer SchlauchWeberei Eschbach GmbH in Ohrdruf, a city in Thuringia. The firm was built on the former company premises of the Ohrdrufer Netz- und Seilwerke (nets and ropes) and started off with 20 employees producing and distributing fire hoses and industrial hoses. Over the years the demand for woven hoses and the variety of hoses increased so that the Schlauchweberei has more than 60 employees nowadays.

The products of the Eschbach company are used all over the globe. According to the high-quality standards as well as the appropriate characteristics of the hoses our products fulfil a multitude of requirements and tasks. Besides the fire hose, which probably is the best-known product of the OSW, there are also quality hoses in agriculture for watering, spreading manure, or accessing drinking water, fuels and more. Our products are even used in snow-making facilities on slopes or in the mining industry by means of Geotextiles. Still our fire hoses can be produced in all common diameters, lengths, versions and performance levels.
